Wine making and grape growing may be an unexpected avocation for this former library tech. After visiting her first winery on a business trip with her husband, however, the world of farm wineries enchanted her. Crystal began networking and volunteering in the industry. Grapes, already growing on the homestead, were a natural fit for the farm. A few more vines grew to several hundred, and today, with the help of family, she is developing the Experience Knob Creek brand.

A retired high school English teacher, Deanna easily transfers her storytelling skills into caring for the history that her family has preserved on the farm. With energy and grace she stewards transformation of activities from one generation to the next, including the construction of a new production facility where the Tobacco barn used to stand. Along with her many crafts, clubs, and charity efforts, it is her greatest pleasure to be working so closely with her family.

Paul grew up in New England working in an apple orchard that his father managed. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps before attending King College where he met his bride, Crystal. After teaching elementary school for over twenty years, he enjoys caring for the trees and training vines. And he delights in helping others to do so as well. Paul can be seen walking around the farm with a glass of wine, dog by his side.
